Follow me following Him.

Hey guys, my name is Carl. The name for the blog comes from my devotion to following Christ and His example. This blog was created for me to be able to put some of my thoughts into writing and allow other people to read and debate whether or not they are correct. They aren’t always debateful topics. It almost acts as a journal for me to keep track of what I think so I don’t forget. It’s a shame to lose a decent thought. If anything, this blog was created to make people think. Perhaps in time this will change.

    Hello Carl,

I am quite impressed with your blog and the idea behind it. Your desire to both remember your own thoughts as well as expose yourself to those of others is admirable. I look forward to seeing some of the thoughts that you come up with, and possibly, some of the ideas that change with time and discussion.

If you are gracious enough to accept the advice of a random stranger, I would encourage you to ask those of divergent opinions to comment on your blog. By inviting those within your sphere of influence like family, neighbors, fellow students, fellow employees, et cetera, you may open up to yourself a wealth of knowledge previously untapped.

I would also ask your permission to write the occasional comment to your thoughts myself, as I find them quite interesting. Any follow-up comments on this post will be emailed to me, so I eagerly await your reply. May God bless you and keep you.

    • Hello, thanks for taking the time to read my work!

I appreciate your advice and I think it very true. The amount one can gain by referring to his/her peers is unmeasurable. Ironically, I was recently speaking to a couple of people today about my writings who I consider to be very knowledgeable and not only attained helpful feedback for a recent post, but also acquired a few more topics to write about in the future. This seems to have fallen right in with what you recommended. I think one should try to surround themselves with people who can expand their thinking. Wise choices in acquaintances can be immensely rewarding.

Any comments would be most welcome! I try to accept any type of criticism or praise with equal hospitality as both have the potential to better one’s ideology. There are many things that I believe which are planted and firm in my faith. But there are also those that I have questions about, most of the time with no answer. This blog of mine seems to be reserved for these. And with no answer, or at the best only a attempted assumption, anybody else’s theory could be just as correct as mine and therefore carries merit with me. So yes, please feel free to comment whenever you wish. I look forward to hearing from you in the future.

Great concept. I can’t tell you how many things I’ve lost because I didn’t take the time to write them down. I think this is especially important as a disciple of Jesus Christ. If we aren’t careful and appreciative of the personal inspiration we receive through the Spirit then why would be be trusted with more in the future?
